Recently leaked images from the June 2012 edition of CoroCoro Comic, shows new forms for the legendary Pokémon Tornadus, Landorus and Thundurus. In addition to their new forms, the upcoming Pokémon AR Searcher is shown alongside these Pokémon. Judging from the CoroCoro images, the Pokémon AR Searcher will be used to capture at least one of these legendary Pokémon.

It is unconfirmed whether or not the Pokémon AR Searcher will be used to capture the entire trio, however. The bird-like silhouetted image from the Pokémon AR Searcher appears to have a very similar shape to the new form of Tornadus. The Pokémon AR Searcher will be used to capture virtual Pokémon. Those captured Pokémon can then be transferred to copies of the Pokémon Black 2 Version and Pokémon White 2 Version.
Currently, the DSi XL retails for $169.99 and the DSi retails for $149.99. The new, reduced prices for the DSi XL and DSi will be $129.99 and $99.99, respectively. While the official Nintendo Press article made no reference as to which colors were included, we could safely assume that the entire spectrum will see the price cut.

ThunderCats Roars To Nintendo DS This August

Namco Bandai of America producer, Austin Keys, has confirmed that ThunderCats will be released this summer (August) for the Nintendo DS. A playable game demo was recently seen on the show floor at the Global Gamers Day’s press conference. ThunderCats is a side-scrolling action-platform game, based on the new cartoon series.

All levels come directly from the TV show. The only playable character is the Lion-O, the game's main character. There are, however, other characters that can be used for support during gameplay. The support characters can be called upon during battle by using the Sword of Omens, to help Lion-O out.

The game itself appears to be a typical type side-scroller with basic moves such as run, jump, and attack. No other information was passed for the new ThunderCats game, but I'm curious to know how well it plays.

Thunder, Thunder, Thunder, Thundercats! Hooooooooooo!

Pokémon Conquest To Be Released June 18th

Pokémon + Nobunaga's Ambition will be hitting North American shores June 18th, in the form of Pokémon Conquest. Pokemon Conquest is a strategy RPG in which feudal Japanese warlords battle for control of Japan and “set out to recruit Warrior allies to strengthen their growing kingdom. Along their journey, players will encounter a variety of Pokémon, as well as Warriors and Warlords inspired by the Japanese feudal era.” Each warlord has one of the over 200 Pokémon available in the game as a partner. The game was well received in Japan, although it was criticized for not being as deep strategy-wise as other games in its genre.
Color me surprised. I never actually thought that Pokémon Conquest would see the light of day outside Japan. I'm definitely picking it up.

Black Kyurem and White Kyurem Have Official Typ...

Some important information on the new Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version sequels, Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2, have surfaced. The mascots for the two new Pokémon games, Black Kyurem and White Kyurem, have received their official Pokémon types. To our surprise, I think we can all say that we're a bit "shocked" at what's been revealed today.

For starters, I published an article about two weeks ago that revealed the official box art for the upcoming Pokémon titles. As you can see below, it appears as though electricity is streaming from Black Kyurem's body, while fire engulfs White Kyurem's body. Were these unofficial box arts, or does it go further beyond...further than we think?

(click on image for full view)

Strangely, yet very stunning, the above box art displays Black Kyurem and White Kyurem during their state of "overdrive." Overdrive occurs when their emotions are being worked up. While they're in this state, Black Kyurem becomes known as Sparkling Blue Black Kyurem, while White Kyurem becomes known as Burning Red White Kyurem. Confused yet? I'm starting to get there. Let's move along to their official types.

As recently discovered on Amazon of Japan, the types, along with their height and weight can be seen on newly released hard cases for the 3DS. They're both listed as being Dragon/ Ice type, which I can understand. Black Kyurem appears to be 3.3m in height and weighs in at 325kg. White Kyurem is listed as 3.6m tall and weighs 325kg as well.

I've searched the Amazon of Japan website myself and found the following images. It took me about 30 minutes of sifting through seventy (that's right) pages of items in the "3DS" category to find as many high-quality images as I could. The below images are 1500 x 1500 pixels. I did the best I could to provide the best images for everyone. They're rather large in file size so try to be patient when you click on them. I think we're one of the only sites with this much information on the recent news. We're also hours behind because of it. Check these out!
The game is being developed by WayForward, who have also developed popular games such as Silent Hill: Book of Memories (PS Vita), Mighty Switch Force (3DS eShop), A Boy And His Blob (Wii), Contra 4 (Nintendo DS), and many more. Adventure Time creator, Pendleton Ward, recently tweeted (@brunothebear) about the upcoming game, along with a few weird-looking images, shown below. The newly released crossover title has managed to sell more than 172,000 units, according to a Media Create sales chart for the week of March 12 through March 18. Pokemon + Nobunaga’s Ambition debuted in Japan last Saturday, March 17th. I see mixed opinions on the art style. Naturally, some are content while others are not. Personally, I don't think it looks so bad. I don't like the fact that the white Kyurem has small arms though.
Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2

Junichi Masuda, the game director for the Pokémon games, revealed today that there will be a third version of Pokémon Black & White for Nintendo DS. The twist here is that there's two new versions this time, if early indications are correct. Official names of the two versions will be released next week. Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2 are scheduled for release in Japan in June.

Also of note, two new forms of Kyurem have been announced. They look like Zekrom and Reshiram, which means that Black 2 and White 2 will indeed be focused on Kyurem's backstory.

Two new Pokémon + Nobunaga’s Ambition commercials have been released by The Pokémon Company, via their official YouTube channel. Although the commercials are in Japanese, they still detail some gameplay aspects that have not previously been seen. Pokémon + Nobunaga’s Ambition is scheduled to be released in Japan on March 17th. To date, no official news have been released to the public as to whether this cross-over type Pokémon strategy game will make landfall in the west.

I'm really not too sure what to think about this type of gameplay concept. For me, it doesn't seem very appealing.

Sweet Dreams With Mythical Arceus

Dream No Further, Arceus Is Here!

Back in early November, I posted an article called Vote For Your Pokémon Global Link Pokémon. That article encouraged Pokémon fans world-wide to vote for the Pokémon they wanted most, via the Pokémon Dream World. The results for the poll were actually announced last month but I completely forgot to announce the winner of the poll. I apologize for that, everyone. For some reason, I sort of had a feeling that the Mythical Pokémon Arceus would become the victor to fans all over the world.

From February 1st through <del class='bbc'>February 29th</del> May 1st, you can befriend the Mythical Pokémon Arceus. Once befriended, you can utilize the Game Sync feature to bring it into your Pokémon Black Version or Pokémon White Version game. Don't miss the chance to add this rare, one-of-a-kind Pokémon to your arsenal.

My Tornadus Quest Has Finally Ended

Ultra Ball after Ultra Ball after...Ultra Ball. I almost convinced myself that it wasn't going to be possible to catch the highly elusive Flying-type legendary Pokémon Tornadus with an Ultra Ball. He's so incredibly quick that I almost changed strategies and purchased some Quick Balls. Tornadus, National Pokédex #641 (Unova region #147), has finally been captured and registered on my Pokémon Black version. Tornadus is exclusive to only the Pokémon Black version. You can, however, transfer him to a copy of Pokémon White version though. I almost posted a topic in the forums about my seemingly impossible quest to catch him with an Ultra Ball.

For anyone who's wondering, Tornadus roams randomly between routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 16, 15, 14 in the morning time and routes 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 in the evening. Also, I believe it has to be raining. Don't quote me on that though. If someone knows the answer to that, I'd love to know. I, personally, happened to catch him while it was raining on route 13. He's a pretty decent Pokémon and adds some character to your party. I'm not quite sure what Pokémon I want to catch next, but it'll be a legendary type. Also, I'm gonna start trading with a few of the guys in the community so I'm looking forward to playing more often.

Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition Announced

Yes, this is a crossover between Pokemon and Nobunaga's Ambition. For those who don't know, Nobunaga's Ambition is a strategy game series based in feudal Japan. It's such a weird combination, but I wish they would release it in North America. The game is supposed to be released in Japan in 2012, so there's very little chance of it coming stateside, even if it wasn't such a strange concept. If it comes here, I'd definitely buy it, at least.
