Play any Mini Game with only 2,500 points earned
Once you have earned the first 2,500 points in the game, save to memory. Now go to the Mini-games section. One there, you will see options to purchase one of the three mini-games — Monkey Pool, Monkey Bowling or Monkey Golf. Each one costs 2,500 points.

The trick here is to remove your memory card from the machine at this point. Now you can select whichever mini game you’d like to play and it the game will not deduct the points from your earnings, as it won’t be able to save. If you’d like to try a different mini game, simply reset Super Monkey Ball and repeat the process.

Master Mode
Beat expert and extra expert without using continues to unlock master mode in Super Monkey Ball.

New Menu Screen Theme
Once you have a token, take it to the maze that the Stone Guard (huge guy above the waterfall) lets you play in (warp to it if you’re out of the area). The maze is pretty tricky, but with enough exploration you’ll find another well. Use the C-stick to locate the token and drop it into the well.
Unlock Challenge Mode
To key to unlocking Pikmin 2′s Challenge Mode (for one or two players) lies in the game’s third zone — the lake area. Once you have unlocked it, grab a group of yellow and red Pikmin as well as a handful of white Pikmin (to dig up hidden treasures along the way). No blue Pikmin needed. Fight the electric bugs and fire emitters with the matching Pikmin and make your way to basement level 5. Fight the mechanical spider with a small group of yellow Pikmin: throw them at the spider’s body, then call them back to you and move them out of the way when the spider is stomping its feet. When you have beaten the spider, a key (literally) appears. Have the Pikmin bring it back and exit the level by jumping into the geyser. The Challenge Mode will now be available for selection from the main menu.
President of Hocotate Freight

To unlock the President earn 10,000 Pokos by gathering treasure. You can’t unlock him to play on other games, and he’ll only be for 1P mode. Getting 10,000 Pokos you’ll unlock 3 movies, Wistful Wild, and the president since Louie is missing.

Secret URL (Japanese version)
Late in the game, you will receive a letter from a mysterious stranger. It invites you to go to a hidden URL: http://www.nintendo.jp/p/c234/. The website contains a simple Q&A/survey that mixes fun questions with survey inquiries. Depending on your answers, you are likened and matched with a creature from the game.

Another Pikmin Song
If you bring 20 of each color Pikmin with you, the song they hum will be the hit song from the Japanese commercial for Pikmin. It will work both in the main levels and in the caverns where it will replace the Luigi’s Mansion theme they otherwise like to sing.

Challenge Mode
Once you have saved your progress once, a new option will be available from the main menu: Challenge Mode. This mode lets you go back and compete in the areas that you have already opend up in the main game. The idea is not to find spaceship pieces, but rather to build as big a Pikmin army as you can before the sun sets. The biggest army scores are saved and entered into a ranking.

See the Fireworks
You’re the master of the Pikmin, so abuse your authority! Press down on the D-pad to round of four Pikmin to carry you back to base camp. A brief fireworks display will be held in your honor. Standing idle long enough will produce the same royal treatment.

Get More Pikmin
Pay close attention to the color of the pellets when you have the Pikmin carry them to their “Onions.” The destination Pikmin carry objects to depends on the make-up of the carrying crew. If more red Pikmin carry a pellet than blue Pikmin, they will bring it to the red hive. This fact along with the color of the pellets presents an important strategic element. A red pellet carried to the red Onion yields more new Pikmin than the same pellet brought to the yellow hive, for example. Matching the colors to the correct hives is especially important in Challenge Mode, where you’re trying to get as many Pikmin as possible. Remember that you can always stop your Pikmin before they get to a hive and make last minute changes to change their destination.

Nabbing Nectar
When you see grass that is taller then Pikmin walk into it. Nectar will pop out. There are different amounts of nectar that will come out. Let your Pikmin drink it. The Pikmin will then grow a flower on their heads.

Dash Jump
Dash jumping is a technique that gets extreme distance, much more than any space jump is capable of. There isn’t much height gained, but when something is very far away and not much higher than your starting point, this is usually the perfect thing to use. The dash jump is actually derived from an intended move in the game, the regular dash where you press B while strafing to the side and locked on something. The difference comes in releasing L just after pressing B to remove the lock on; doing this causes Samus to fly off to the side at a high speed. Using your second jump makes her go even further and adds a respectable amount of height to the jump.

To explain it in full: first lock on something with L. When ready to dash, move left or right and press B, then let go of everything as fast as you can after pressing B. Never hold B or L; holding B makes you rapidly lose height until you hit the ground, and still holding L after you’ve started the jump won’t let you dash jump in the first place. There are also very few situations where you’ll want to actually hold left or right, so let go of the stick when you press B. These are all common mistakes to make when starting to learn dash jumps.

Dash jumps can be done with any visor. Valid targets are anything you can lock on: enemies, stalactites, grapple points (when you have the grapple beam and are close enough to attach to one), and so on. When using the scan visor, you can also dash from any scan point, but there is one thing to know about this. If the target is in scanning range and it’s been previously scanned to completion, holding L for too long will cause the screen to freeze so you can read about the target. To be able to dash, you need to be fast enough that you release L before the screen freezes. This doesn’t apply to objects that are considered out of scanning range, yet still close enough to be locked on.
Additional info:

Scan dashes do not work in any version of the game but the original North American release.

The height gained from a dash jump depends on whether you have space jump and use the second jump in the dash. The first jump gets very little height (almost nothing), while the second is more like a dash and a jump at the same time. Due to this, it’s possible to dash to places higher than your starting point, as long as you use the second jump. A great example of this is the Observatory dash.

If you need to move forward or backward in the middle of a dash jump, hold the stick up or down to slowly go in that direction. This is known as “bending” the dash. Some dashes are much harder (or can’t be made at all) without bending. Two great examples are Geothermal Core and the Thardus dash. Bending a dash forward or backward doesn’t reduce distance, so don’t hesitate to do so if it’ll help you avoid bumping into something. Turning left or right does, however.

If you don’t have space jump and need to test how high your destination is, fire at it with power beam shots. If they hit the ledge, it’s higher than you are, and so you probably wouldn’t make the dash.

A dash jump can be stopped early by pressing or holding L. It reduces Samus’ momentum at a very fast rate until she stops, and is very useful when you don’t want to go too far.

Ghetto Jump

Ghetto jumping is a pure height technique, done by L jumping against a specific nearby object to go quite a bit higher than regular jumps allow. The objects in question are different in every room, but it’s often a wall, uneven ground, or something on the ground you can press against.

To do a ghetto jump, stand against an object and do an L jump in the direction of it. Either let go of the stick immediately after pressing B, or move away very slightly (until you’re no longer against the object), depending on the situation. The reason for this is that most objects have a certain point in height where you can no longer be pressing against them; otherwise your jump will either be stopped, or you’ll just be dragged back down. Being dragged down is especially common with underwater ghetto jumps. In some cases, it’s fine to stay pressed against an object, and sometimes this even increases height. It really just depends on what you’re using for the ghetto jump, as everything affects your jump differently.

Ghetto jumps can be used underwater, and are even better without the gravity suit, as strange as that is. A great example of a regular ghetto jump is climbing the top of Frigate Crash Site. For an underwater jump, check out getting the artifact of Lifegiver without the gravity suit.
Additional info:

In some places, it’s possible to do a sort of running ghetto jump. Start next to (but not touching) an object, then walk forward and L jump as you touch it, making sure to do so before you come to a stop.

Rapid Missile Fire

Switch to the Power Beam to fire Missiles much faster than you would normally. If you press A on the controller after firing a Missile with the Power Beam active, you can close the Missile Launcher and fire another Missile almost immediately. Repeat this to quickly dish out huge amounts of damage. Take your thumb and point it roughly so that your nail is 90 degrees to the buttons. Now with just your nail, you are just flicking Y really fast. You will hit the part of the controller between Y and A, but because your thumb is fat enough, it will slightly hit A, which is all you need to reset the gun. So the faster you do it, the faster you will fire, but know you can only have 3 missiles in the air at once, so the closer you are to the target, the better.

Alternatively, you can simply switch to the Power Beam, then hold up on the C-Stick to rapid fire Missiles.

Triple Bomb Jump
Triple Bomb Jumping is a technique used to achieve greater height than Double Bomb Jumping allows. In a Banks Triple Bomb Jump, the first bomb is “burned” or wasted in order to shorten the Bomb Stock refresh time. This shortened refresh time gives you two extra bombs to work with.
Here’s how it’s done:

1st bomb: With a full stock, put down a bomb and let it blast you into the air.

2nd bomb: As soon as you land, put down your second bomb.

3rd bomb: Right before the second bomb explodes, put down your third bomb as if you were doing a Double Bomb Jump. The bomb has to be placed before your stock refills or you won’t have enough bombs to complete the Triple Bomb Jump.

4th bomb: After the second bomb explodes, put this one at the peak of your jump.

5th bomb: After the third bomb explodes, put this one just below the fourth bomb. Make sure you put it down while you’re still ascending, not at the peak of the jump or on the way down.

6th bomb: After the fourth bomb explodes and knocks you up further, place the last bomb near the peak of your jump while you’re still ascending; do it about 80% of the way up. If the timing of everything was correct, you will fall down into bomb 5 after placing bomb 6, which explodes and propels you to bomb 6, which explodes and gives you almost double the height of a double bomb jump. The timing of bomb 5 and 6 is tricky, so it’s not unusual to have problems getting bomb 5 to hit you, and to problems with bomb 6 hitting you after bomb 5 does.

Pressing against a wall will allow you to delay the placement of the final two Bombs, resulting in even greater height. Morphing out at the height of the Bomb Jump will give you a final height boost.

Beat the game to unlock a couple new costumes. Link will be dressed in his blue outfit throughout the adventure, and his sister will wear a skull shirt. You will also have instant access to the DX Color Camera (even if you finished the game with the standard camera only). Finally, all Hylian text will be translated into English the second time through.
To make this work, make sure you save at the end of the game, and start the game again with that save file.
NOTE: copying the files does NOT work in this trick.

Tingle Statues
Connect a Game Boy Advance to the GameCube and play with a friend to discover secret Tingle statues inside each of the five main dungeons. The statue locations are marked as red question marks on your Tingle Tuner. Use a Tingle Bomb on the question mark to reveal them. You can sell each statue to Tingle’s brother on Tingle Island. They are worth 50 rupees each. When you collect them all, you will get a whopping 500 rupees, so make sure that you’re wallet isn’t full!

Fairy Upgrades
There are eight different possible fairy encounters in Wind Waker - and each leaves you with a very helpful upgrade. There are six standard fairy wells. Upgrades are typically given in this order, independently of which fairy you visit at what point in the quest:

1. Bigger Wallet: holds 1,000 rupees
2. More Bombs: 60
3. More Arrows: 60
4. More Bombs: 99
5. More Arrows: 99
6. Bigger Wallet: holds 5,000 rupees

Northern Fairy Island
Requirement: Bombs

Outset Island Fairy Well
Requirement: Deku Leaf, Bombs

Western Fairy Island
Requirement: Skull Hammer

Eastern Fairy Island
Requirement: Bombs

Southern Fairy Island
Requirement: Bombs

Thorned Fairy Island
Requirement: Skull Hammer

Additionally, there are two special fairies:

Mother & Child Isle Fairy
Requirement: Balled of Gales
Simply warp to this island with the Ballad of Gales and you will receive the Fire and Ice Arrow upgrades (once you have the Hero Bow).

Big Octo Fairy
Requirement: Boomerang or Bombs
Look for the swarm of seagulls in the quadrant and shoot the Octo’s eyes to free this fairy. She will double your magic meter

Hurricane Spin
Collect or steal Knight’s Crests from the armored Darknut Knights. As soon as you have 10, go back to Outset Island and show them to Orca (the sword master). He will teach you the Hurricane Spin in return.

Hero’s Charm
First, get the Cabana Deed from the school teacher. Then collect 40 Joy Pendants (on top of the 20 you gave to the teacher). You can steal Joy Pendants from Bokoblins, so be sure to visit the outlook platforms on the ocean. Visit the schoolhouse again and present her with them. If you have more than 40, she’ll take those, too.As a reward, you will receive the Hero’s Charm. You can equip this mask from the stats screen that shows your weapon, songs, and Triforce pieces. While it’s equipped, you can see your enemies’ hit points.

When Bacon Attacks
No, there are no chickens in this game. But that doesn’t mean Wind Waker doesn’t continue the “don’t tease animals” theme. Try slashing at one of the little pigs on Windfall or Outset Island a few times, and you’ll see what this all means!

Fun With Time
There is a clock-specific Easter Egg in the game. If your GameCube’s internal clock is set to daytime, the background on the save game selection screen will show a blue daytime sky. If it’s night, the screen will show be a starry sky backdrop instead. To change your clock setting, hold A while powering up your GameCube and select the Calendar function.

Second Quest
Once you finish the game, you will be asked if you want to save your status. Select a new save spot if you want to preserve your last save. If you start a new game with this save, the following things will have changed for your second quest:

You will start the game with the Deluxe Picto Box, so you can immediately start taking color photos (all the figurines you have gathered during the first quest will remain)

Your clothes won’t change. Instead of the green tunic, your grandma gives you an invisible one — so you can play through the game with Link’s blue “crab” outfit.

Your sister Aryll will wear a “skull dress” instead of her usual outfit.

Hyrulian dialogue is translated. You will now be able to read everything characters like Jabun or Valoo say to you.

The Treasure locations are moved further away from the islands.

Messing With Tingle

Tingle is rather fond of his golden statues. Hit them with your sword while the GBA is connected and on and he will comment on your reckless behavior. Even better, take a statue and throw it into the sea. Doing any of this things will get Tingle so irrate that he will drop bombs on you and scream in very large fonts. Also, if you come back later and talk to Knuckle, he will tell you that someone dropped the statues into the sea. But don’t worry — the statues will be back where they were.

Link The Vandal
In order to get the contents of pots on unreachable shelves, such as in the Sturgeon’s room, simply roll into the wall beneath them. The shelves break and the pots will crash to the floor.

Bomb Glitch
To use bombs inside houses and buildings, or any place that you normally cannot use them, set the Tingle Tuner to Y. The quickly press Y then start/pause right after (you have to do it so fast that he doesn’t take out the tingle tuner yet). Then while on the inventory screen, set bombs to Y. Then unpause the game and Link should hold a bomb over his head and a message will appear that says you can only call Tingle in places that have maps. Quickly press A or the bomb will blow up on you. Now you can move around with a bomb!

Triple Dose Elixir
To have 3 helpings of Elixir, get a full bottle from your grandma and set it to Y. Hurry and press Y then start/pause (you have to do it so fast that he doesn’t take out the tingle tuner yet). Set an empty bottle to Y and then unpause it. Link should then drink the Elixir soup leaving 1 helping left in the empty bottle. Pause the game and you will see the empty bottle with 1 helping in it, and you still have the full bottle!

Easy Blue Potion
Although the Windfall potion shop makes blue potions using the Blue Chu Jelly, the shop keeper requires 15 of them before the potion will be offered for sale.A much quicker and more cost-effective way is to use the grappling hook on the Deku Baba Plants at the entrance to Forest Haven to swipe seeds. Five of them can be traded for one blue potion inside Forest Haven’s potion shop.

Glitch: When Pigs Fly
Collect at least three Skull Necklaces. At Windfall Island, toss all three pigs into the ocean and talk to the pigs’ owner. Trade the Skull Necklaces to start the mini-game. Now when you walk up to the pigs to catch them they won’t run away but they will float above the ground and they will look like they’re swimming.

Link And The Big Fat Pig
If you gave the little pigs to the fat lady on Outset Island, and then returned a little later in the game, the black pig will be huge and all the other pigs will be gone. Once you have the power bracelets you can pick up the pig and throw it out of the pen and then pick it up and bring it to a black spot of soil, set it down and drop all-purpose bait on it and the pig will dig and you can get good items. You can also get a piece of heart!

Fast Path To Big Money
Under the Fairy Upgrades code, there is an error in the order of upgrades given. You can actually get Biggest Wallet as the third upgrade item. If you visit the 4 Fairy Locations, that do not require the Skull Hammer before you enter the Tower of the Gods you will be given upgrades in the following order:

1. Bigger Wallet: holds 1,000 rupees
2. More Bombs: 60
3. More Bombs: 99
4. Biggest Wallet: holds 5,000 rupees

You will skip the Arrow upgrades and immediately jump to getting more bombs and the Biggest Wallet.

Deluxe Picto Box
Once you get the Picto Box from Tingle’s cell on Windfall Island, you can work on getting the Deluxe Picto Box. Visit the second floor of Lenzo’s camera shop on Windfall, and speak to Lenzo–he’ll send you on missions to take photographs, and afterwards give you the Picto Box Deluxe

Bad Boy Link
This is not useful, but it is somewhat amusing. Once you have the boomerang or the bow (maybe the grappling hook also works) you can go to Outset Island and break the jar that the lady carries on her head. If you talk to her after breaking her jar she tells that you are terrible and takes ten rupees from you.

Glitch: Music Mess
At Windfall Island after getting the Shop Guru Statue, play the song of passing and make it night. Then stand on one of the mats near Zunari’s make it day. The screen will blink and sea music will play.

Easy Items
To collect Chu Jelly, Knight’s Crests, Joy Pendants and the like more reliably, use your grappling hook on enemies. Bokoblins will yield pendants, Moblins Skull Necklaces, armored “Knuckle” knights crests, ChuChu’s jelly, Kargorok birds Golden Feathers, and Boko Baba Plants seeds.

Free Soup Potion
After clearing the first dungeon (and getting the grappling hook item), capture a fairy in a bottle (or buy a red potion) and head back to Outset Island (it is all the way on the bottom row of the overworld, the second square from the left). Visit your grandma in your house, target her and use the fairy/red potion bottle on her. She will give you some of her special, healing soup in return. When the soup is used up, get a free refill from your grandma anytime.

Dark Schneider
To unlock the Dark Schneider, beat all of the chapters in Story Mode.

Snake Technique
This controversial “technique” exploits F-Zero’s finely tuned physics model to simulate special boosts caused by correctly leaning into curves using the controller’s shoulder buttons. To use the snake technique, select a heavy car with a high grip rating (A) like Black Shadow’s Black Bull, then set it up for high acceleration. By alternating L and R and turning left and right at the same time, players then drive serpentines and essentially simulate turns on a straightway. Use of this technique on wide courses results in incredible lap times. If you’re having trouble executing the technique, know that it’s not a matter of rapidly pressing buttons. Turn left while holding L, then turn right while holding R after you’ve performed a visible turn.

Repeat ad infinem and get faster and faster. You’ll see results even when using Captain Falcon’s machine — just make sure it’s set up for high acceleration. Don’t overdo it. When you’re steering into turns, steady your craft and don’t forget to hit the dash plates.

Car Setup
Pay attention to the Machine Setting graph before racing. Each F-Zero racer can be customized by moving the slider to the left or the right.
Acceleration / Left-Balanced: Move the line to the left to balance the car for quick turning. This setting is appropriate for technical courses with many sharp turns and few long straights. The car will boost off the start much faster and perform better while drifting. When using a car balanced for acceleration, use the drift turn technique (press L and R while turning) to prevent speed loss in corners.

Top Speed / Right Balanced: Move the line towards the right to balance the car for faster top speeds. This setting is best for courses with long straights (or pipes) and few sharp turns. The car doesn’t drift as well and has lower acceleration after impacts or from the start line. Use the slide turn technique to navigate around corners (press R while turning right, L while turning left) and follow the apex of the curve for best results.

Ultimate machine
The ultimate machine is perfect for decent players. The name is the Sky Lynx -RX

Super Lynx(cockpit)

Sky Horse©(body)

Devilfish -Rx(A)(booster)

Please note that the devilfish -rx is an F-Zero AX part. You need to complete one of the story levels on hard or go to the nearest arcade to get it.

Toggle the Subtitles
When you Beat Any Cups on any difficulty in Grand Prix mode when Mr.Zero is going to interview you Press Z to toggle the subtitles to hear the spoken dialogue. This also works on the CGI FMV sequences in Story Mode.

Lateral Shifting
This tip is best achieved on the “lateral shift” level. While driving, aim at the inside of any of the blind corners, just to the outside of the posts. You would normally fall off, but if you push back towards the middle of the track at the last second, you will fly across the gap and receive a large boost when you land on the road. When you first try this, instead of turning back towards the middle of the track, use the L and R buttons to drift in the right directions. This is easier than actually turning the ship, but the boost will be slightly smaller.

This trick can be done on any course with any vehicle, but the custom “scud spider z” seems to be very fast and not too difficult, whilst some are nearly impossible. This trick can knock about 5-7 seconds off the first lap alone on this particular course, hence the trick’s name.

Special Custom Machines
When building your own custom machine out of earned parts, it is interesting to find machines with special names. Most of the names for the machines created are just the names of the parts added together, however, after looking at different combinations of parts, some machines with special names can be discovered. Here’s the partial list of special machines and their stats:

Wave Race 64 (N64)

Change Colors
While selecting your jet ski, highlight any character and hold Up on the analog stick. Continue to hold until your character and jet ski change color.

Double Flip
First get some speed with the jet ski. When you are on the ramp tap Up one inch from the top of the ramp and hold Down to do your flip. Instead of making the character do one complete flip hold the Down button longer so he does another turn. If you do it correctly he will land perfectly and ride on. Hint: J.Meter is the best racer to do this with; especially on the small ramps.

Easy Points
Press Start as soon as you complete a stunt. If done correctly all sounds should stop except for the announcer. You want to pause the game as soon as the announcer starts talking after you do a stunt. If done correctly, you can get up to 30,000 points on a level! Addendum: For even more points, cross the finish line at 0 time. This will push your score even higher!

Double Side Flip
This stunt can earn you over 2000 points if done properly. Head straight at a ramp and gain as much speed as possible. Then about an inch from the top of the ramp push the joystick in the up/diagonal position and then pull down and hold. If your timing was right you’ll do a side flip, then a back flip and land perfectly. Note: J. Meter is the best one to do this with.

Dolphin Ride
Select Stunt Mode mode and enter Dolphin Park. Next go through all the rings and perform the following tricks:

	Handstand

	Backwards spin

	Stand with back flip

	Single back flip off ramp

	Dive off ramp

Barrel roll off ramp in both directions

If you did the trick correctly a dolphin will squeak when you cross the finish line. To ride your dolphin, select Dolphin Park in a Championship Race and hold Down while selecting your racer.

Three Flips In Glacier Coast
To do 3+ flips in Glacier Coast on stunt mode, simply go to the big patch of ice just after the long narrow pass and do the double side flip. You will need to hold “Down” on the D-Pad to do numerous flips. As soon as you dismount the patch of ice your score will show.Hint: Works best with J. Meter. After a few flips he (or she) will start to do a sort-of nose-dive down into the ice. If this happens you are screwed but it shouldn’t do that if you only do 4 or 5 flips. Rack up the POINTS!

Hand Stand
To do a hand stand, simply press down then up quickly, then press up again but this time HOLD it. You should do a hand stand!

Helicopter Trick
Get up as much speed as possible and head for a ramp. As you reach the peak of the ramp, press the control stick Down and Left or Down and Right.

Quicker Start After Crash
If you crash during your race, instead of waiting for your racer to get up on the jet ski, tap the A button repeatedly. This will help you get up going faster and get on your ski faster.

Turbo Charge
For a faster jet ski, hold the gas button immediately before the announcer says “Go!” The closer you are to the announcement, the faster your jet ski will go.

Baby Dolphins and a Whale
To see the baby dolphins, go to Championship, Normal, then Warm Up. Now follow the dolphin three times around the course as best as possible. If you follow him correctly he will jump over the Bridge after the Dolphin Park sign. It’s important that you do what the dolphin does, so if it does a barrel roll as it clear the jumps, then do barrel rolls; if it does flips, then do flips, etc. The dolphin seems to randomly make a choice as to which trick (if any) it performs each time you turn on the machine, so if you aren’t good at the tricks, keep restarting machine until he’s just clearing the jumps.
To see the killer whale, repeat this trick 30 times without a mistake. Good luck!

Dive Under Water
As you start up ramp, press and hold Down. As soon as you clear the ramp, press and hold Up to dive under water.
Hint: This works best with wild waves. It just slows you down with calm waves.

Reverse Courses
If you win the gold cup on Expert, you get a Reverse option. Unlike Mario Kart 64 where the tracks are only “mirrored,” Wave Race 64 can actually run the courses in their opposite direction.

Start With Max Power
At the start of the race, press the Accelerate button immediately before the third beep.

Ride Backwards
To ride backwards, rotate the joystick clockwise and quickly press and hold Down.

Big Dolphin
To view the big dolphin, you must go to Championship, Normal, then Warm Up. If you do this 20 times consecutively you will see a larger dolphin in Dolphin Park.

Flip / Barrel Roll Combo
Simply do a barrel roll while going off a ramp at incredibly high speed. The combination effect is very nice and gives you plenty of points. If you can’t get it right, play with the timing a little, that’s where the REAL skill comes in.

Quick Start
To get a very quick start, tap the accelerator during every beep, if you do this correctly you add 3 lights to your power meter and you are already on your bike when the announcer says go!

Reset Code
If things aren’t going your way in a mission and one of your characters dies, it’s advisable that you retry the level. Like many GameCube games, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance features an undocumented reset function. Simple press and hold X, B and Start and the game will reset to the title screen.

Better Stats
Once you are able to upgrade character units in-between missions, be sure to carefully watch how many stats point upgrades your character receives every time you pass the 100-point mark. Since Fire Emblem randomizes the upgrades, make sure you maximize your character stats upgrades by resetting the game and reloading from your last save point if no or few point upgrades are given during level-up. To this end, make sure you save your game after missions and every time one of your characters receives a satisfactory bonus.

Class Change Effectiveness
When you have the option of changing a character’s class, don’t evolve the character at level 10, because the person you are evolving will not have gained the same benefits as a person evolved at level 11 to level 20. So, at least try to evolve them at level 15, but if you want an incredibly strong character, evolve it at level 20.

Train A Healer
When you are in a battle where the only person left is an unmoving boss, and many of your units are injured, don’t use Vulneraries, forts, or any other healing item. Instead, use a cleric, monk, bishop, or Valkyrie staff to heal those characters. This will gain experience for the healer and mend injured players for the battle against the boss.

Easy Boss Kills
If the boss does not move, and only has an indirect or direct weapon, there is an easy way of defeating it. Simply attack with a direct weapon if the boss has an indirect weapon (bows, not any type of magic), and attack with an indirect weapon if the boss has a direct weapon. Try to use a character that you want to level up, though.

Recruit Nasir
You must defeat the Black Knight in chapter 27 going on to 28. You fight him and Mist comes with Ike, but she needs to be promoted by this point, or you’ll have a difficult time. Mist has to be able to kill the healers (Bishops) and the one soldier that appear to assist the Black Knight. You must be able to defeat the Black Knight in five turns or less or else Nasir will not be available for the rest of the game.
Ike should ideally be at level 20 or more. Have Mist promoted by at least by one level. Have Mist occupy the Black Knight’s flunkies and focus your heaviest hitters on the Black Knight. Good luck.

Casualty Management
Here’s how to prevent your weak characters from dying. If Ike is the commander, simply do not let your weaker allies attack by taking them out of the battle using the Units screen. Just select the people you don’t want to get hurt and hit the A button. This does not work with characters highlighted in green. This means the Ike cannot EVER be recalled and in few instances, neither can Elincia or Ena. If there is no way to recall a character from a battle, there is a way to make sure they never get hit.

All you have to do is click on your enemies with the A button and it will show you their attack range. Make sure to do this with all enemies or any enemies that are relatively close. Of course, you will not need to do this with enemy soldiers who are on the opposite side of the screen, but it is wise to just double check. Also, check the attack range of any and all magic users. They could pull a meteor or blizzard attack (which have ranges of up to 10 spaces.) Have a stronger unit go ahead and take care of any close by enemies, making sure all allied unit that you want to protect are out of the enemies’ attack range. Repeat the enemy target check for the next turn and move your allied units who you want to protect closer, still keeping them out of the target area.

Keep clearing out the enemies who are close so you can keep progressing without your protected allied units taking damage. Also, if you can’t seem to get to the magic user who is using meteor and far range magic attacks like that, send a unit with a high resistance to magic into the target zone so that the usage of those deadly magic attacks can be used up and you’re safe to keep moving on. Good luck, fellow gamers!

Character Recruitment
Below is a list of some characters in the game and how to recruit them to your team.
Stefan – Recruit Stefan in the desert level where you fight Muarim and the Freedom Fighters. Send Mordecal or Lethe to the upper corner of the desert, where there is a Bird Tribe member. Have one of them stand on the square there, and eventually Stefan will appear.
Sothe – To recruit Sothe, head to Chapter 12. He can be recruited there via the Info Menu.
Calil – Calil, too, can be recruited via the Info Menu, but in Chapter 20 instead of Chapter 12 like Sothe.
Largo – Like Calil and Sothe, Largo is also recruited via the Info Menu. To do so, consult the menu during Chapter 25.
Shinon – Shinon can be recruited if you have Rolf talk to him (since he will not attack Rolf like he will everyone else). Ike will then fight Shinon, and must win, in order for him to join the party.

Chibi Robo (GCN)

Chibi Doors
You may notice strange doors with an outlet turned the wrong way next to them. Well plug into them and turn right. It costs about 10 energy though. However, up to 500 Moolah can be found (tons of combos, usually 50 or 100 pieces). Some are invisible however! Use the radar and then fire a charged shot at it.

Costumes
This is how you get all the costumes:

Drake Redcrest Costume: Talk to Drake Redcrest (you meet him the first night usually)

Trauma Costume: Run out of energy without recharging

Ghost costume: Strike a pose in the Trauma costume

Frog costume: Squirt three drops of water into the passed out frog in the backyard

Tao Costume: Complete the four training missions by the Free Rangers

Pajamas: Talk to Mrs Sanderson when she locks herself in her room. She will tell you she is bored and is going to sow, and will make you something nice. Talk to her in a few days to receive it

Super Chibi-Robo Suit: Get rank #1 on Chibi Rankings (by Happy Point total or beating main story)

Jenny’s Frog Hat

Jenny says she was cursed and can only talk like a frog (talk to her while wearing Frog costume). Well there are Frog Rings that you find throughout the house and can give to her. Collect all of them, she will re-hide them. Collect them again and she will remove her frog hat (unverified)

Utilibots
Utilibots are bots set somewhere in a specific room that can help you out. Once you hear of the Spydorz invasion on the news, you will notice oil in places and these things will appear. Shoot them with the Chibi Blaster (must of bought for it to start) to collect scraps. once you have 300 go to the Chibi-PC. You can now buy them. Their are three kinds: Ladder, Bridge, and Teleport (look at manual for further info). Charging them takes a lot (aside Teleports). Buy all 8 and get the Utilibot sticker.
GLITCHES
These are not technically glitches, but are still fun to use.

Gliding
This will take a while to master, and can never be completely mastered. Be running around for a while and jam the control stick the other way for Chibi to slide (dust comes up). Hold it down and he might keep sliding. However he will veer a bit off and will stop (impossible to go on forever)

Working after day ends
When the final bells are going off, switch rooms. You should come out and can move a bit before the final bell rings (if done right, it rings as you are switching (before loading screen) and delays in the next room). You can change the time of each half day at the Chibi-PC Shop. The first three items are how long each day is.

Infinite Health
Before you get the Super Chibi-Robo suit, you can plug into an outlet. After your done saving and what-not, you have unlimited health, until unplugging. Meaning you can kill Spydorz or let them latch onto you and take no Energy away.
