You Can Pre-Order Pokémon X And Pokémon Y

By Kevin McMinn On Jan 12 2013 11:37 AM

Not even one day after Pokémon X and Pokémon Y were announced for the Nintendo 3DS, worldwide online retailers opened up their flood gates and began accepting pre-orders. For the first time in the history of the Pokémon video game franchise, Pokémon X and Pokémon Y will go down in the history books as being the first-ever Pokémon titles to make a simultaneous debut across all major regions to include North America, Europe and Japan and possibly others.

Pokémon trainers from all different walks of the world will be able to connect, battle and trade with one another from day one, thanks to the capabilities of the Nintendo 3DS and the hard-working teams behind the software development. This is a truly exciting time for Pokémon fans, and October can't arrive soon enough. With the exception of North American retailers (none that can be found, anyway), pre-orders can be placed online from Japanese retailer Play-Asia, European retailer GAME UK and Australian retailer EB Games.

Ouch! Our AU buddies are paying a lot of extra $ compared to the US.
Believe me, Darth, this is normal. I don't see the price changing further down the line either, as that's the average price point for Nintendo's first party 3DS software. There's also the fact that, unlike displayed prices in the US, which adds tax at the point of purchase, our prices are displayed as tax inclusive.
Im definitely preordering as soon as I can! I wonder if there will be a deluxe version? like it might come with something extra neat..

Maybe the world will be...you know...treated with a special Pokémon-themed 3DS to celebrate the transition of the series to the 3DS and the worldwide launch. It would be nice to see something like that make a harmonious worldwide entrance. Can you imagine the chaos?!
Nice. I know I will be pre-ordering this from Gamestop when it becomes available. I hope there is a nice pre order bonus for this game.
